News

I just received the new ATHA magazine. This is the Association of Traditional Rug Hookers. There is a 3-page article on our group in the Feb/March issue. You can see it on the "about section of this site. http://www.atharugs.com/

The show in Minneapolis was a great success. We sold over 30 rugs with a total in sales of over $2000. Plus they collected over 200 lb of wool to send to Las Rancheritas.

Another bit of good news is we now have Abraham A. Greenspan Program Director International Trade Center in Brownsville investigating transportation in and out of Mexico for wool and rugs. This will be an immense help as we grow and have more orders.

Last but not least. The international Rug Hook Conference in Sept will feature: Community Projects-Raising Self Esteem, Representatives of worldwide rug hooking projects tell their stories, inspiring others to help or create their own: Betty Hill, Labrador and New Foundland Rug Guild; Charlotte Bell, The Rug Hook Project, Mexico; Iris Simpson, Rug Aid Ghana; Jean Smith, Women Matters.
